Dailyhuman is a digital platform built to make gratitude part of everyday work culture. As product designer, I designed the app’s core flows and interface, focusing on trust, simplicity, and emotionally meaningful interactions.

Alpha to beta
From an app for sending restaurant credits, Dailyhuman pivoted into facilitating weekly appreciation games among work colleagues, thereby fostering deeper connections.
Users yearned for better connections with their work colleagues. As more teams were created by coworkers, it was clear that Dailyhuman needed to build a platform fostering meaningful engagement among peers.
From this pivot, we created the Round Robin feature.
ROUND ROBIN: the concept
Via user testing and pilots, we found users that joined the app as individuals were not engaging with the product as we had intended. We then had the idea to introduce a “game” for people to play to encourage them to engage in gratitude practices with one another - this is when the “Round Robin” was born. We began the design process from explorations on “gratitude notes” all the way to how a group would be set up to join the game. Now this is the core feature of our app and this is what we are piloting currently with HR departments all over the USA.
prompts & feedback
The game consists of random matching of partners within a subscribed group. Each week, the match of partners will have to answer a prompt privately. If both partners complete the game, they both “unlock” the money their group leader allocated for them. This generates not only accountability in the players, but also an excitement to participate in the game together.
The prompts were all related to practicing appreciation and showing gratitude to colleagues. Building emotional openness and reciprocity across teams.
The optional survey at the end allows for us to gather data to then give back to the HR departments we pilot with. This is how we show engagement and emotional effects of teams and users.

web-app mvp
As more teams were created by people working together, Dailyhuman understood that it needed to build a platform for them to engage and build connections in work settings. The MVP Web-App also allowed for there to be a wider variety of users and companies that would utilize the product.
UPDATES
The home feed on web featured multiple Round Robins. Although the product was thought for work colleagues and HR departments, our live users still wanted to engage with their friends and family.
The inbox also served as a core feature since users wanted to keep old messages that were valuable to them. With this insight in mind, the team built a section that compiled the users' treasured conversations.
After completing a Round Robin, a message would pop-up displaying how each participant felt after completing their weekly match.

Gratitude as a Design Principle
Dailyhuman was more than an app—it was a platform for encouraging meaningful exchanges and cultivating emotional well-being in workplaces. From designing for psychological safety to balancing the human and financial aspects, this project taught me the power of thoughtful, intentional design to make abstract concepts like gratitude tangible and impactful.
